How to use this document correctly
- State the purpose precisely (“partial payment of loan dated…”, “security deposit for…”).
- Both parties keep a signed copy; for large amounts, note the mode of payment (cash, GCash ref. no., check no.).
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as an official receipt?
No. Official receipts are for businesses under tax rules. An acknowledgment receipt is a private proof between individuals.
